In term 1 we went on a field trip to the Regional Assembly of Text, with our teacher Robin Mitchell.

We were able to use the letterpress, and choose our from their collection of typefaces. It was a great experience, to get in there and really think about the letter forms, and how well they will press, and especially the composition on the page.

I am going to see if I can find the postcard I made from that visit, but here is my digital version, which I liked at the time, but now question my reasons for the repetitiveness of the word ’soulstruck’. Nevertheless, I am still happy with the work I produced in that term 1 Vis Comm class.
