‘Lies’ Research + Moodboard

So for the past couple of days I have been sick. This gave me a chance to watch some videos for research on one of our projects.

I ended up renting Moulin Rouge, and Mirrormask to try and pick some elements, and feelings from the style thet established. Also took a look at some old tarot cards, old circus sideshow images, and tried to come up with some ideas for the motion parts of the video.

I think it’s really important to establish the mood right at the beginning of a project because there needs to be a consistent style throughout that will really make the piece feel completed, and professional.

I sent out an email to Liz McDonald at Student services about putting a posting out for Make up Design Students at VFS. Because the program is specialized in make up for Film & Television, I’m hoping some of them will be excited to join our team, come production time.
