Feeling a bit antsy on the progress of my Grad project? Me too…
I have been updating my grad project blog secretly due to some progress that needed to be done under the radar BUT I am momentarily bringing back the link to that blog.
After speaking to some of the new DD10s - I came to the conclusion that some of the information from the VFS website about the Digital Design program isn’t really telling potential students enough. This is why I think that having areas like the VFS Blog are so important.. even if it is just a small row of VFS Student blogs being listed - it’s a treasure when you find it. Not that I am not aware that I may be a bit biased - being on that last, and all… but honestly, when I signed up for the DD program, I’m not quite sure I knew what I was getting into.
Sure, my student advisor, Scott Williams was great, and the website description provided some good info - and the showcase was pretty amazing.. But not being a motion inclined person - it was just eye candy.. I think the program is doing more to promote other Digital design areas to help.. But it’s definitely the experiences of the students that seem to be the most valuable - because for the most part you can be pretty sure it’s not an edited version of the experience - it’s raw, it’s got the good and the bad. The bad may not be the best exposure, but it’s honest and people should have a fair sense of the hard work that a year at VFS entails.
Anyways, enough of my little rant&ramble for the day.. It feels good to be back in school. I’ve set up my new little work space in the purple room, and decided to make it feel like a good and comfortable area (& creative!) so I can get some real work done!
I was feeling inspired by watching this again from Belief. Check it out!
